Workshops are back!

I’m so happy to resume teaching again after a bit of a break for health reasons. I’ve really missed the social aspect of running workshops and how satisfying they are, especially when a student comes along to try a craft for the first time and goes home loving what they’ve created during their day with me!

The first workshop of 2025 was a Christmas present from Adam to his partner, Lowy. Neither had any experience of working with polymer clay before and they came to do a Millefiori Beads workshop. Lowy chose to work with pearly teal and purple whilst Adam chose white and metallic grey. Each of them created a cane - think ‘stick of rock’, made with the clay with the pattern running through it.

Lowy wanted to make a selection of earrings and produced a great range, incorporating both fish hooks and stud findings. Adam made a dish - it’s around 10 cm in diameter and was cured over a metal form (the top of my cafetière!) to give it an elegant profile.
