General Terms and Conditions
1 Introduction
1.1 These terms & conditions cover all workshops organised and run by Jo Hunter Wearable Art whether at the,studio in Lifton or any other venue.
1.2 By booking on to any of our workshops you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
1.3 Jo Hunter Wearable Art reserves the right to vary course content and these terms & conditions at any time.
1.4 These terms and conditions also refer to products purchased from Jo Hunter Wearable Art.
2 Workshop requirements
2.1 Learners must be at least 14 years old in order to attend a studio workshop.
2.2 Attendees below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
3 Skill Levels
3.1 Workshops are designed for beginners. Please call me on 01566 784713 prior to booking a workshop if you are in doubt about the skill level required.
4 What's included
4.1 Unless stated otherwise, studio based workshops include the use of all materials, tools and equipment. Please see the individual course information sheets for further information.
5 Health & Safety
5.1 All participants should wear shoes with flat, non-slip soles & covered toes. Learners will not be admitted into the studio without proper footwear.
5.2 Sensible clothing suitable for working with craft materials is recommended. Jo Hunter Wearable Art will not be held liable for any damage that occurs to clothing.
5.3 Long hair must be tied back.
5.4 All workshop participants will receive health and safety advice at the beginning of and as required on each workshop. Any learner acting in breach of the health and safety guidelines will first be warned and if they persist, they will be asked to leave the studio immediately without recourse to a refund.
6 Accessibility
6.1 Please inform me of any physical/mental disability, learning difficulties or accessibility requirements at the time of booking the course.
6.2 I am unable to accommodate wheelchair users at the studio in Lifton.
7 Product Orders
7.1 Website purchases are paid for at the checkout.
7.2 Orders are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24®. I can also send small value orders by Special Delivery on request and subject to the customer paying the additional costs.
7.3 I aim to despatch all orders within two working days following receipt of payment.
7.4 Royal Mail delivery services are outside of my control and I take no responsibility for delays or inconsistencies in their service.
8 Copyright and Acceptable Usage
8.1 Full copyright of course content developed by Jo Hunter Wearable Art is retained by Jo Hunter.
8.2 Course notes and reference materials are provided to support learners in their studies and are for personal use only.
8.3 The sharing of course materials by print, press, photocopy, email, blogs, internet or any digital transfer medium is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of Jo Hunter. If in doubt, please contact me.
9 Payment
9.1 All workshops and products must be paid for at the time of purchase.
9.2 Website orders are processed by Stripe. For direct payments our preferred payment method is bank transfer. Contact me for details.
9.3 I am unable to take card payments over the phone.
9.4 PayPal is also an option making payments to jo@johunter.co.uk although I reserve the right to charge a premium in these cases to cover the additional costs charged by PayPal.
10 Gift Vouchers for Workshops
10.1 Refunds are not available on gift voucher purchases, nor can gift vouchers be exchanged for cash or other goods.
10.2 Gift vouchers will either be for a specified value or a specific workshop.
10.3 Vouchers with a specified value can be used to book any workshop subject to the standard terms & conditions and as long as the booking is made prior to any expiry date printed on the voucher.
10.4 Vouchers for a specific workshop can only be used for that workshop and refunds cannot be given for failure to attend.
10.5 Gift vouchers are transferable, so if you are unable to attend, you may contact me to nominate another learner.
11 Cancellations, Changes & Refunds
11.1 For standard studio based workshops a minimum of 21 days’ notice is required if you wish to cancel your booking in which case I will refund your fee or arrange an alternative date for you to attend. If the workshop was paid for wholly or partially with a gift voucher, the value of this amount will not be refunded. Learners requesting a cancellation less than 21 days’ before the studio workshop booked will only be entitled to a 50% refund.
11.2 If you rearrange the date of your workshop and cannot attend, no refund will be given and the workshop cannot be rearranged for another time.
11.3 You may request a change of standard studio based workshop date up to 21 days prior to the date of the workshop that was originally booked.
11.4 If a workshop cannot run because of tutor illness, I will give as much notice as possible and I will offer a suitable alternative date or a full refund.
11.5 In the event of the cancellation of any workshop for any reason whatsoever, Jo Hunter Wearable Art will not be liable for any third-party costs, such as travel or accommodation.
11.6 I recommend that learners take out the appropriate travel insurance that will cover your costs if you are unable to attend a workshop or if the workshop is cancelled.
11.7 No refunds or alternative dates will be given to learners who do not turn up to workshops they have booked & paid for.
