Floral Spring Purple Shawl Pin
A circular shawl pin featuring a pretty, abstract floral pattern in blended shades of matte and pearlescent turquoise, white, green, mauve, pink and purple, edged by a vertical band of ribbed dark brown/black and lilac pink. The disc features an off-set hole for the bamboo stick.
The back of this pin matches the pearlescent lilac pink on the front and the disc is stamped with my makers mark.
My polymer clay shawl pins are ideal for fastening a woolly wrap, securing a waterfall cardigan, pinning a knitted scarf in place or embellishing a beanie. Suitable for any garment with a loose knit or weave, they can also be worn as a piece of contemporary jewellery. Even a silk scarf can be pushed through the disc and the pin passed behind it. Due to the diameter of the bamboo, I don’t advise using them with a fine machine knit or woven fabric.
Dimensions: Large disc: 57 mm diameter (2 & 1/4 inches) and 3 mm (1/8 inch) thick.
Small double sided disc at top of pin: 22 mm (7/8 inch) diameter and 5 mm (3/16 inch) thick.
Bamboo pin (excluding decorative disc): 80 mm long (3 1/10 inch) and 2 mm (1/8 inch) wide
